On behalf of the International Scientific Programme Committee, it is my pleasure to invite you to take part in what promises to be a highly stimulating and enjoyable scientific conference.  With a great range of keynote speakers and workshops covering an exciting variety of topics; the meetings of all six of CIE’s scientific Divisions; and of course a packed social programme, this conference promises to be one to remember with something for everyone.  I look forward to seeing you there!

Tony Bergen, CIE Vice-President Technical, ISPC Chair

Road lighting is at an interesting point of transition. There have been significant changes in technology (with a shift towards LEDs), in considerations (regarding the wider impacts of lighting), and in understanding (particularly the uncertain basis of current guidance). In response, CIE is working on revising CIE115. This workshop, titled “Rapid Revision of CIE 115 Lighting of Roads for Motor and Pedestrian Traffic,” will outline the need for change, summarise the proposed revision process, and provide workshop attendees an opportunity to share their opinion on these plans.

It is our great honour to be the sponsor of CIE 2025, which will absolutely be an inspiring and remarkable scientific event. EVERFINE and I have been engaged with CIE for over 20 years, and we are grateful for its excellent academic platform and the friendships formed with CIE experts. This event is in perfect harmony with EVERFINE’s core values and mission: “Materially and spiritually benefit the world and then ourselves further and forever, i.e., be EVERFINE by precision.” We look forward seeing you in Vienna!

We are very proud to be part of the dynamic and networked CIE community as a Gold Sponsor of the CIE Midterm Meeting and look forward to an exciting and inspiring exchange in Vienna. We have a lot to say, especially on the core topics of lighting quality, energy efficiency, sustainability, as well as IoT and light management. Come along and join the discussion.

Are you aware that assessing glare and obtrusive light caused by daylight or electric light is very challenging in practice? Our metrological approach to quantifying these extreme lighting conditions involves High Dynamic Range (HDR) Luminance Imaging. In this context, I would like to invite you to our dedicated workshop, “HDR Imaging for Assessment of Glare and Obtrusive Light,” where you can explore state-of-the-art HDR measurement solutions, gain insights into ongoing scientific research, and discuss future developments. You are welcome to bring your ideas and questions for a fruitful open discussion.
