Guidelines for Oral and Poster Presentations

In order to assist all presenters to prepare their contributions to CIE 2025, we have prepared detailed guidelines for both oral (15-min long and 5-min short presentations) and poster presentations. Please read the guidelines carefully and follow the instructions to ensure a smooth and successful conference experience.

You can download the guidelines here:

These guidelines cover all relevant information, e.g. format requirements, setup and removal times of posters, presentation tips, and technical support.

We thank you for your valuable contribution and look forward to your presentation at Scientific Conference CIE 2025 in Vienna.

Other important information

  • Only Full-length Papers are eligible for the Best Paper Award.
  • Full-length Papers will, in addition, be available as a separate document for sale on the CIE Webshop and have separate DOIs assigned.
  • For Full-length Papers open access publishing options are available for purchase. Please see the dedicated open-access page with more information.

The CIE 2025 Conference Proceedings will be published as part of the publication series Proceedings of the CIE (International Commission on Illumination), published under ISSN 3061-015X (print) and ISSN 3061-0168 (electronic version). The Proceedings of the CIE will be submitted to Scopus and evaluated by Scopus for regular indexing.

The CIE 2025 Proceedings are planned to contain the Full-length Papers with Short-Papers annexed. We understand that some authors may wish to develop their contribution into a journal paper submission and avoid double publishing. Therefore, authors can opt-out from having their Short Paper included in the final CIE 2025 proceedings (CIE may still publish the 150-word abstract). This option can be selected in the submission system. However, authors opting out must still upload their Short Paper according to the guidelines, as this data is required for conference procedures (e.g. abstract booklet, internal review processes).
