Authors submitting Full-length Papers for the CIE 2025 conference proceedings will have their papers published (in addition to being included in the complete 2025 proceedings volume) with a paper-level DOI assigned, which makes the papers findable and citable as individual papers (the DOI landing page will be a permanent landing page within the CIE domain). The Full-length Papers will also be available for individual sale via the CIE Webshop.
In addition, authors of Full-length Papers have the option to make their work available as open access (under the Creative Commons CC-BY-NC License). This ensures that their research is freely accessible to the public, fostering greater visibility and the dissemination of knowledge. The open access papers will be available as a free download from the CIE Webshop (after log-in), as well as a free download from the CIE website (without any log-ins). This ensures maximum accessibility for interested readers.
During the submission process for the Full-length Paper, authors will have the possibility to purchase the open access option. The price for publishing one Full-length Paper open access is EUR 400,00.
Authors who choose this option during the submission process will be asked to upload a form with invoicing information (also during the submission process). Please note that ticking the “open access box” during the submission process constitutes a binding contract, so you must have made any necessary agreements (e.g. your institution confirming coverage of the fee) needed at the time of the submission. The system closes on May 1, 2025. Invoicing will take place subsequently, and the payment deadline for the open access fee will be June 16, 2025.
