Attendees of the CIE 2025 Midterm Meeting (July 4–11, 2025) will have the opportunity to experience Vienna’s vibrant cultural scene, with two major festivals taking place during this time.
Vienna Film Festival
From June 28 to August 31, Vienna’s City Hall Square transforms into an open-air cinema, hosting the annual Vienna Film Festival. Each evening, a giant screen showcases recordings of opera productions and concert performances spanning various musical genres. It’s all open air and set against a backdrop of fine central European neo-gothic architecture. The festival also features a diverse selection of food and drink stalls, creating a lively atmosphere in the heart of the city. Learn more here. Admission is free.
ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival
From July 10 to August 10, ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival brings contemporary dance and performance to Vienna’s theaters and museums.
