On the evening of Monday, July 7, 2025, an illumination show will take place on the facade of Vienna’s iconic Rathaus (City Hall). This show will conclude the sightseeing tour, one of the social events of the CIE 2025 Scientific Conference.
While the show is a highlight of the conference’s already fully booked sightseeing tour—offering participants a guided experience and a designated viewing area made possible by Stadt Wien MA 34 (Construction and Facility Management of the City of Vienna)—the light show itself is freely accessible to the public.
The show will begin at around 23:35 and last approximately 15 minutes, providing a stunning visual experience for anyone nearby. We invite all CIE 2025 participants to join us in front of the City Hall and enjoy this special moment, celebrating the art and design of light in the heart of Vienna.
