All six Scientific Divisions of the CIE will meet during the Midterm Meeting, and will also hold their Annual Meetings there. The core scientific work of the CIE is carried out by its Technical Committees (TCs), which produce our standards and technical reports. Many of these TCs will hold face-to-face meetings in Vienna in the days following the Conference. For those new to the CIE and interested in getting involved in its scientific work, this is an excellent opportunity to interact with leading experts from around the world. The Division and Technical Committee (TC) meetings are scheduled for July 10–11, 2025.
Division and TC Meetings are open also to interested experts, though registration is required, and a separate fee applies. The fee for these meetings remains unchanged from the 2023 session in Ljubljana, despite rising inflation, to make participation more accessible for Division and TC members.
The meetings will take place at the main headquarter of the WKO (Austrian Economic Chambers). This modern facility is centrally located in Vienna. The Entrance is via Schönburgstraße 1 (tram stop „Johann-Strauß-Gasse“ of tram lines 1, 62 and Badner Bahn „Johann-Strauß-Gasse“ is just a few metres away; next subway stop is “Taubstummengasse” on subway line 1 in 10 minutes walking distance). The venue offers excellent accessibility, with convenient public transportation links for all attendees.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to major construction works, several tram lines (1, 2, 71, and D) serving the venue are being partially rerouted. We recommend checking alternative routes, such as the U1, U2, U3, and U4 subway lines. More detailed information can be found here.
We also recommend using the “Wiener Linien” app for real-time public transport updates and for purchasing tickets (including the 7-day pass). Please note that the Badner Bahn (BB) is included in your public transport ticket as long as you are traveling within Vienna city limits
